What is Digitizing? by Allie Shomaker

Digitizing for embroidery means putting your logo/design into a stich format. To digitize a file, we use our embroidery software and physically trace each and every line to turn it into an embroidery stitch. There are many different types of stitches including complex fill, satin paths, and run stitches. Our job as a digitizer is to use the correct stitches to make your design look it’s very best! Because digitizing takes a lot of time, our digitizing fee starts at $75.00. We will always keep your logo on file! We even offer edits if you want something minor changed, for free!
Watch below as I digitize our Longs Embroidery logo to get a sense on how this is done.
February is National Embroidery Month! For the whole month of February, Longs Embroidery, Inc is offering Free Digitizing with the purchase of 12 items. Those 12 items must get the free digitized logo embroidery as a left chest or cap design. Large back designs we are giving 50% off on.

Hello everyone! Not sure how you found this page, but welcome to the blog. I can't even tell you have many times we haven't been asked to start a blog! But I'm doing it anyways. Hold on to you seats, you're about to get educated on all things embroidery. My goal is to blog once a month to start off and get content that is helpful to explain concepts to our current customers, and to help out a fellow machine embroiderer.
